Arts Scholarship in memory of Mahogany Sky Venson
In memory of Mahogany Venson:
Mahogany sunrise was June 6th. 2003 and Sunset was October 13. 2021. At the age of 10, she was first diagnosed with cancer. She would pass away 8 years later to stage four Rhabdomyosarcoma. From the beginning, Mahogany was a force to be reckoned with. She was very outspoken as a child and her way with words gave her the ability to be a very propound writer as well as a speaker. During Mahogany's final year of Rutherford Middle school, she became student council president, where she also lead her stem team to a championship victory bringing them to the world competition in Kentucky. Mahogany graduated from Rutherford High School on June 21, 2021, with honors. Her dream was to become an actress, singer, and photographer. Her other loves and hobbies were drawing, designing clothes, and poetry. Her poem "Selcouth" was published at Rutherford High School June 25, 2021. In her course of studies, Mahogany fell in love with Forensic Science. One of her many accomplishments as a youth in the arts was being self taught on playing the piano. Mahogany touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished and remembered through Love Holds Life's scholarship program of the arts.
